Lady of the House At Henrietta Red
As a part of their “Friends with Benefits” event series, Henrietta Red’s Chef Julia Sullivan will welcome Chef Kate Williams of Detroit’s acclaimed restaurant Lady of the House to join her in the kitchen on February 26th. The two chefs, who first met last year when they were both honored as Food & Wine Best New Chefs for the class of 2018, are working together on this collaborative dinner in an effort to raise money for Chefs Cycle for No Kid Hungry.
Sullivan, who is participating in Chefs Cycle for her second consecutive year, will be riding as a part of Team Food & Wine and has set a personal goal to raise $7,500 for the cause. The Friends With Benefits events, each of which will take place in various locations throughout Nashville, range from guest chef dinners such as this one, to fitness-focused affairs featuring some of Sullivan’s favorite ways to train for the race. With almost two events taking place every month between February and May, there are plenty of opportunities to have a little fun for a good cause.
The collaborative dinner with Lady of the House, the second event in the series, will feature an a-la-carte menu as well as cocktail selections from both restaurants. The food selections will be comprised of synergistic offerings, created with both restaurants’ flavor palates, food styles, and personalities at the forefront. While Sullivan is known for classic, low country recipes coupled with light and bright, vegetable-forward dishes, Williams focuses on Irish hospitality and nose-to-tail cooking. The combination of both chefs’ skills and palates is sure to hit every mark.
DJ Ben Swank of Third Man Records, which lays claim to both Nashville and Detroit, will feel right at home spinning records throughout the evening, curating what is sure to be a stellar soundtrack to an incredible meal.
Reservations are available between the hours of 5:30pm and 9:45pm. To secure your reservation, a $25 donation is required; this donation goes directly toward team Food & Wine’s fundraising efforts for Chefs Cycle for No Kid Hungry.
