Will and Liz Welcome their First Guest Chef to The Catbird Seat
You may remember our article back in January announcing the new chef duo taking the reigns at The Catbird Seat: Will Aghajanian and Liz Johnson. With just one month under their belts behind the kitchen counter at the 22-seat restaurant, the inventive chefs are already doing big things. On March 20 and 21, Will and Liz are welcoming their first guest chef, Pastry Chef Kriss Harvey, from andSons Chocolates in Beverly Hills.
For just two nights, the three chefs will work together to develop a fully collaborative menu, merging their distinct cooking styles, and integrating pastry and savory to create ten to twelve delicious courses.
Kriss is a nationally-lauded pastry chef with experience in some of the world’s best kitchens -- and no big deal or anything, but he was formerly the Executive Pastry Chef at The Bazaar by José Andrés at the SLS Hotel. Just sayin. His passion for chocolate has taken him around the world, allowing him the space and opportunity to hone his skills in revered kitchens such as Oriol Balaguer in Spain and Emmanuel Ryon in France, as well as the Ritz Carlton in Washington D.C. and the Wynn Resort in Las Vegas.
Psst - as a major bonus, guests of the dinner will be given a take-home box of andSons Chocolates ensuring you’ll dream sweet dreams following this collaborative dinner. These chocolates, which are all made by hand and sourced from all-natural ingredients from specialty providers around the world, are being flown in with Kriss from the chocolate shop!
Tickets for these special dinners can be secured through Tock and cost $190. Beverage options will be made available for purchase when guests arrive for dinner, including either an alcoholic or non-alcoholic pairing. Because of the nature of this dinner however, The Catbird Seat will not be able to accommodate vegan diets. But with, advance notice, gluten-free modifications can be made available.
