Henrietta Red x TYLT Cycle = Patio Pounder
We’ve said it once, we’ve said it twice, and we’ll say it again at least two or ten more times: your very own Broad Varieties broads, Jordan Farrell and Maddie Adams (yes, that’s me), are competing in a big-ass bike race called Chefs Cycle for No Kid Hungry alongside our friend and colleague, Chef Julia Sullivan of Henrietta Red...in just 5 short weeks. #HolyGuac. The three of us will be riding 300 miles across Santa Rosa, California in just three days’ time, and in order to do so...we’ve gotta get our butts in the saddle and train, train, train!
Train we have, and train we will (...and will, and will...until the race rears its head) but the best part about our training will 100% be the part when all of you get to train with us too!!
Wait, wait, wait — before you ex out of your browser window and say F that noise — I’m literally just talking about a wee little 45 minute training sesh on a sunny Sunday afternoon, followed by cocktails. Cocktails! You don’t have to log hundreds of miles, okay? And you get a drink after, okay? So, come #getTYLTED with us at Henrietta Red!
On Sunday, April 14th, the three of us and Henrietta Red are hosting an outside ride called the Patio Pounder — right in Henrietta’s backyard! Part of the “Play with Friends” portion of our Friends with Benefits series, our Patio Pounder is intended to raise awareness about the race, raise money for the cause, and help get our booties into shape for our 300 mile cruise across Cali!
We’re thrilled to be partnering with TYLT Cycle this year, who will be offering two opportunities to ride on Sunday afternoon, both of which are led by their badass instructors. Both the 3:00 and a 4:00 ride will last 45 minutes, and each one will be followed by a well-deserved Happy Hour at Henrietta Red, complete with one complimentary Patio Pounder cocktail. Talk about getting #TYLTED y’all...
Class costs $45 per person, and all money raised goes directly to Chefs Cycle. Book your bike in advance using TYLT’s online booking portal, and be sure to book it soon — these bikes will fill up fast!
